May 9-15 (the week after Santa Barbara Half Marathon)
Mon … 8 miles easy and one hour at Bar Fitness Hybrid Class and stretch session w/ Jon
Tues … 10 miles w/ 10 strides
Wed … 12 miles total…finished with last 3 miles at 6:30 pace
Thurs … 6 w/ 10 strides
Friday … 8 miles on trail and one hour at Bar Fitness Hybrid Class
Saturday … 8 miles easy
Sunday … 16 miles total…miles 4-8 at 6:30 pace
Notes: Good recovery week after Santa Barbara Half. My hamstring felt a little tight on Sunday’s long run so I did not run the final 4 miles at 6:30 pace as I had planned.
May 16-22
Mon … 8 easy (average pace 7:26) and one hour Bar Fitness Hybrid Class and stretch session w/ Jon
Tues … 10 total (4 x 1200 in 4:06 w/ 3 min recovery) UGH, did 1200’s in 4:09, 4:12, 4:19 and 4:20. I just couldn’t hit splits tonight and got slower each interval. Never feels good to leave track without nailing your goal splits.
Wed … 8 miles at an average pace of 7:45 and one hour Bar Fitness Hybrid Class. Very tired today!
Thurs … 10 miles total, average pace 6:59. I ran 10 x 1 minute at 5:45 pace in middle of run.
Fri … 8 easy, average pace 7:30
Saturday … 8 easy, average pace 7:19
Sunday … 18 miles, average pace 6:59.
Ran on South Mountain San Juan Trail and it is very hilly. Ran w/ Terri, Arianna and Kerry. I am blessed with amazing training partners!
Notes: Had a treatment from Dr. Ball for my left hamstring which bothers me during faster pace miles. I can continue running as I receive weekly treatments to improve my hamstring. Phew!

Amazing!! You’re my HERO! Good luck on the 2:42!! You probably have on here somewhere your goal race. I’ll keep digging
